Thankful November day 4

In light of it being opening day of gun season for deer tomorrow... I am thankful for my hubby that hunts to bring meat home and make the grocery bill a lot smaller!

Thankful November 3

I am thankful for my wonderful friends that I can call any time of any day and talk to them about whatever I need to! They keep me up beat on the days I am down or just need a laugh! They are there for me when I need a shoulder to cry on. They are there for any reason!

I am thankful for a wonder family that cares and loves us! I take them for granted too. Would know what to do without them! They are such great people and I have learned a lot over the years from them and hope to keep learning!

So I don't know how well I will keep up on this but I am going to try to post 3 times a week what I am thankful for!
Today I am thankful for my wonderful loving husband. I don't know what I would do without him. I take him for granted more than I should and don't let him know how much I appreciate him. Thanks Tim I love you!

Our anniversary get away!

This past week we went away for our anniversary to Traverse city! We were there Wed night to Fri afternoon. We had a blast! We went with another couple for their anniversary also.
We had some issues on the way there. The highway was closed so we had to take a detour and well we ended up in the middle of no where and a deer ran into the front bumper of the car! Everyone is ok and so it the car just some minor damage! So Wed night we went out to the bar.
Thurs we kind of packed everything into one day because it was so nice out and Fri it was suppose to be cold. We got up had some breakfast then the guys had gotten us massages so we went and got those! It was soooo nice and much needed! After that we went wine tasting at 2 different places it was really nice and I found wine I like!! The one place we went you could see both sides of the bay! So pretty. After that we got some lunch and then went golfing. Well that was just interesting in its self! Tim and I didn't do to good! Then we went back to the hotel for a little bit and the bus for the casino came and picked us up and we were there until about 11. We didn't do too good! I will leave it at that! :)
Fri the guys let us girls sleep in and they went golfing. We checked out grabbed some lunch and headed toward home! We stopped at Little River on the way home and didn't do so good there either!
Sun we went up to Silver with Lindsey, Kendall, and Alesha. It was a little cold but we had fun!
It was the best 4 days off I have had in a long time!

New nephew!!

We have a new nephew! Collin Andrew Smith has arrived! He was 7lbs 10oz 21in long! He is so adorable! Pictures to come!

My moms book

My mom wrote a children's book! If you know my mom this is not like her at all! It is called Hospitals Aren't So Scary. It is about a little boy named Timmy he falls while riding his bike and hurts his elbow. The characters talk to Timmy and tell him what each of them is going to do to comfort Timmy. The characters are Brad the Bed Sarah the stethoscope Thelma the Thermometer Ray the X-ray machine Bill the Pill and Nellie the Needle. It is a very cute book and also it talks about teamwork and how everyone needs to work together to get the job done.

Update on my stepmom

Last week Tuesday Melissa had a pet scan. They got the results on Friday. Things aren't good. The cancer has spread to her liver abdomen and spread more in her lungs. They gave her 3 months. I will keep you updated on how she continues to do. Please pray that she continues to feel good and not to suffer when things start to go bad.

Late Christmas

We always go away or do something with my dad and Melissa for Christmas instead of doing gifts. It nice to have time together as a family when we don't get to do a whole lot of it other times. I say it is just a good excuse to get together and have a good time! On Friday we went to a Griffins game. We had a lot of fun! They had $1 beers and $1 hot dogs. All of the boys were feeling pretty good by the end of the night! That was entertainment in itself!

My Stepmom

So on Friday I got a phone call from my dad saying that my stepmom's cancer count jump up to 200 and something from 70 something! Not good. They go to the doctor on Monday so we will see what happens. At this point we are just hoping for the best. Please keep her/our family in your prayers. Thanks

Goals for 2010

10 of my goals for 2010...

1. To get into shape

2. To drink more water and less pop (as I sit her with a glass of pop!! not going so well yet!!)

3. Start exerciscing at least 5 times a week

4. To suck up the coldness and go hunting with Tim

5. Keep the house cleaner and more organized

6. To cook more and experiment more with cooking

7. To be a better wife

8. To become closer to God 

9. To spend more time with my girlfrieinds

10. To make a budget and stick to it

There are a few more but I can't say you will just have to stay tune for more to come!! hehe

2009 Christmas/ New years

Christmas was crazy busy! No surprise there it is every year! We had 8 Christmas parties to go to!! We still have my salon party yet next weekend! We had a lot of fun seeing and hanging out with our friends and family! I forgot my Carma for 1/2 of the parties otherwise I would have pictures!

We had a great new year also! We went out for dinner with friends on new years eve and then went back to a friends house where it was just 4 of us. It was uneventful and not exactly what we expected but we still had fun! As long as we have each other right?!?!?! No pictures for that either!
